Research And Development with Ion Beams Advancing Technology in Europe

Teamwork combining the brightest minds and infrastructures will propel the EU into a new era of innovation. The EU is moving forward quickly to integrate outstanding and advanced scientific communities and foster open science initiatives, further enhancing access to multiple infrastructures. The EU-funded RADIATE project is providing a turbo-boost to ion beam-related research and applications by integrating complementary national ion beam facilities into one virtual multi-sited ion beam centre. Project goals include the development of a novel web portal for information and software sharing, the recruitment of young researchers, and the placement of innovation managers at the facilities to spur the exploitation and commercialisation of research outcomes.
