RICH Europe PROPOSAL CHECK Event for Horizon Europe Research Infrastructures topics with deadlines on March 9th 2023   16th – 17th February 2023 – Hybrid event

RICH Europe is organizing a Proposal Check Event for the Research Infrastructures call 2023. The hybrid event will take place on 16th and 17th February 2023 (noon-noon) at the Technology Centre Prague, Czech Republic. The event offers coordinators and proposers from widening countries a chance to improve the quality of project proposals based on feedbacks from experienced external evaluation experts and National Contact Points (NCPs). The hybrid event aims to transfer useful knowledge and increase proposers’ chances for funding. The maximum number of proposals to be consulted is 6. The event is open as well to the RI NCPs giving them an opportunity (mainly to less experienced NCPs), to learn how the projects are evaluated.

Procedure 

The deadline for the targeted calls is March 9th 2023. Interested proposers must first register their Expression of Interest as soon as possible before the 6th february 2023. . Complete proposals must be sent by the 9th of February. The registration at the following document  as coordinator/project partner is considered as an Expression of Interest. 

 They will be confirmed on February the 10th 2023 the latest of their acceptance. This is timing to give as much time as possible to proposers to provide the most advanced draft possible.  

If selected, proposers will receive qualified feedback from experienced evaluator immediately during the proposal check session. The session will consist on:  

– first the evaluator and the experienced NCPs exchanging theirs view on the proposal (no proposers participation in this phase)  

– second on a max 5 minutes pitch from the coordinators to the evaluator 

– third one an interactive discussion and Q&A with the proposers, providing a feedback round.  

 

All participating experts, experienced NCPs and newcoming NCPs-observers will sign a confidentiality declaration.   

 

Selection of participants  

 

Proposers who apply to participate at the workshop go through a case-by-case selection process.  

They will be contacted as soon as possible after their expression of interest and the selection will be made based on the completeness of the advanced drafts received. Candidates will be informed of their selection no later than February 10th.  

 

Who can attend? 

  

The event will support proposals for Research Infrastructures calls under Horizon Europe, with a deadline on March 9th 2023. Participation to the event is for the coordinator either from a widening country or from the consortium with a partner(s) from widening country (i.e. one person, mandatory) plus one representative from a project partner institution from a widening coutry (i.e. one optional person). In exceptional cases, the coordinator may name a proxy to participate.

All participating experts and national contact points have signed a confidentiality declaration. No minutes or report will be shared.
