From March 28, 2025, E-RIHS is officially an ERIC (European Research Infrastructure Consortium), a recognition from the European Commission that strengthens cooperation among research institutes, universities, restoration laboratories, museums, and archives across Europe. Cutting-edge technologies and specialized skills in an interdisciplinary ecosystem serve researchers and professionals in the field: E-RIHS provides access to facilities, data, and excellent services to study, understand, and preserve cultural heritage.
Florence hosts the headquarters of E-RIHS ERIC, consolidating Italy's role in the international landscape of cultural heritage research.
